Back and neck pain is a common problem for many people. It can be caused by a variety of things, from an injury to poor posture. One of the most overlooked causes of back and neck pain are foods that cause inflammation in your body. Studies show that some foods may increase inflammation in your back and neck muscles leading to more stiffness, soreness, or even chronic pain. Dairy Products: Milk, cheese, yogurt etcetera are all full of inflammatory properties called omega-6’s which lead to increased muscle tension and decreased flexibility in the spine. Consider switching out dairy products for almond milk, coconut butter or soy products instead.
